Girls Empowerment
Meet Esther Kalembire Faustine a lady who was moved from ashes to get hope for her future. A single mother who got pregnant when she was 17 years old and her family forced her to get married to the man who impregnated her. She had no option but drop out of school and started living with the man. After some few months them man started mistreating her and taking her for granted. It came to a point where the man ran away and left her helpless. She had no option but go back to her parents.
When she gave birth to a baby girl her parents isolated her and couldn’t support her and the kids need in any way. They concentrated on other kids but for her they did not see her as someone worthy. They took her for granted and all her efforts and contributions to the family were not valued by anyone. Raising her daughter became a big burden to her and she was very helpless.
One day she was invited to church and after sometime she became a member of the CCMC church in Uvira, DRC. One day she had the privilege to attend the teens seminar hosted by the Congo for Christ Ministry once every month.
During the session a preacher taught about the suffering of this present is not worthy to the future glory. This touched her a lot and after the preaching she asked some questions and later she met with the CCC leadership and shared her story. When CCC heard about her story they decided to support her and send her back to school to achieve her educational goals.
We paid for her education expenses in the final grade in high school and God was so faithful because she was able perform extremely well and she was awarded a secondary school certificate.
After this her parents and family started considering her as someone unlike it was before because now she had increased some values. After secondary school education, CCC employed her as a cleaner at Mango Tree School so that she can be able to generate some income to meet her expenses and for her kid too. She worked with Mango Tree for one year then God blessed her with someone who pledged to pay for her college studies where she is pursuing Bachelor in Nursing. She will graduate next year.
Despite her past God has transformed her to become a responsible leader and a servant who will bring healing to our nation. She is a so passionate about fighting for the right of single mothers and those who are neglected due to the different circumstances that happen in their lives. Her family who abandoned her and considered her as worthless but now they have full respect for her and her voice is considered and taken of values in her family. We thank God for giving hope to many hopeless people around our community and raising a skilled community to transform the system of our country.
