Asumani was born in a small village called Munene in the Eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo. When the civil war broke out in the country in 1996, Asumani and his family ran for safety to Nairobi, Kenya where he was able to attend his primary and secondary school. He is a good soccer player and he played for different teams in Kenya.
After high school, together with his family, they relocated to Kampala Uganda where he joined university and graduated with a Degree in Administration and Management from St. Lawrence University. He also attended New Hope Institute where he graduated with a certificate in Childcare and Family. He has also done other short courses in project planning and finance management.
At CCC he started as a volunteer which he did for many years during his time at the university. He volunteered in different capacities such as the CCC kid’s soccer team trainer, the dancing group leader etc. After his studies in 2015, he worked as the assistant head of department in the Childcare department and in 2016 he started working as the ministry HR and Finance manager a position that he has occupied to present.
Asumani has a passion for developing the community and equipping others with the tools they need to be healthy members in the community and of the body of Christ. He loves working with the youth in the community. At his local church, he has served in different positions such as the leader of the youth department and currently he is serving as the usher in the local church. He also holds the position of treasurer for the CCMC church in Congo.
