Road construction for the community (Rugembe road)
As part of community development and evangelization, Congo for Christ Center in Collaboration with the Mayor of the city of Uvira constructed a feeder road which connects the CCC property from the main road. The road is of 1200 meters long.
During the construction of this road, many people were employed including widows and women and they were able to generate some income that helped them be able to meet their families expenses and started small businesses which is supporting their daily expenses.
This road has increased the value of the Rugembe community which was considered as a place of hopelss people but now the hope of the light of the Lord has shone and many are admiring being associated with this community.
Also, God’s light was seen during and after the road construction work because many people gave their lives to Christ and the gospel of Jesus Christ reached many people around Uvira through this project Through this project the value of the community has improved and this has facilitated the improvement of different income generating activities around the community.
